BBC Breathing Places

Breathing Places allows everyone do something small (or big) to make a difference in their back yard or to their whole community. Run by the BBC it has lots of ideas for how everyone can do something practical to support their local wildlife. It really doesn't matter if you live in the middle of the countryside or the middle of the town.

Libraries have been essential to the Breathing Places campaign since it was launched. BBC programmes, such as Springwatch and Autumnwatch, tell people to visit their local library for more information.

We provide the link between Breathing Places and libraries. We work with the BBC to produce resources that allow libraries to support Breathing Places.
